This unprocessed 78 is dedicated to 78rpmblog, a subscriber to my channel. One of his favourites is Vernon Dalhart's 'Wreck Of The Old 97' on Victor. So here is a *very* early Jimmie Rodgers 78, 'Ben Dewberry's Final Run', from a much later British Regal-Zonophone issue. Rodgers 'loses himself' more than once in this side, but it is a super record. Apparently Rodgers preferred to play banjo, but Victor insisted that he played guitar. I don't really know, but I love Rodgers' voice and laconic style. I hope 78rpmblog will like it also.
