Yesterday morning, March 19th (2010), my wife, Maribeth, and two of our sons, Thomas (12) and Andrew (8) hiked to the top of Camelback Mountain via the Cholla Trail which is located on its eastern slope. The 1.6 mile hike took us approximately 55 minutes up and another hour down. We met many wonderful folks along the way and spotted several lizards, beetles and a variety of birds and beautiful flowers. The trail was very busy both ways with people going up and coming back down. The last 10-15 minutes of the trail was pretty steep and called for some very careful foot and handwork. This is the first video in a series. There were some wonderful numbers involved in yesterdays hike as follows: March 19, 2010 (Friday) was exactly ONE (1) year from the day that my wife and two sons hiked down and back up the South Kaibab Trail inside the Grand Canyon - a 3 hour and 37 minute hike which took us 2000 feet down and back up 2000 feet. 20090319 was EXACTLY 1958 days from 20031108 which was the day of the Harmonic Concordance when there was a total solar eclipse of the Moon. Maribeth and I drove from Las Vegas on that day and stayed at snowbird Resort in the mountains above Salt Lake City and overflowing with tons of fresh snow. 1958 is the advent of the 23rd cycle of 89 which is the prime of Leo (356).
