CARLO TORRIANI, born in Milan, graduated in Economics from the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan. He started studying voice with Sara Corti-Sforni and Maria Luisa Cioni. Subsequently he pursued his study at the Paris Conservatory with Gian Koral. He won the Concorso Primo Palcoscenico di Cesena e was also finalist of the Concours International de Gascogne and the Concours International de Marmande. He made his debuts as dramatic tenor in IL TABARRO (Luigi) in Cesena and subsequently he performed in CARMEN, PAGLIACCI, CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA, LA BOHEME, MADAME BUTTERFLY, TOSCA, LE VILLI, IL TROVATORE, LA TRAVIATA, AIDA, LA BATTAGLIA DI LEGNANO, OTELLO, WERTHER and ELISIR D'AMORE. In 2008 studing with Maestro Giorgio Cebrian he decides to change repertoire and to sing as a baryton. He made his debuts as a baryton still in IL TABARRO (Michele) in Ceres. In 2009 sang in DON GIOVANNI (protagonist) in Aosta, Biella, Asti and San Remo, LA BOHEME (Schaunard) in Milano, IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA (Bartolo) in Bologna, Milano, Massa Marittima and Ciampino, L'ELISIR D'AMORE (Dulcamara) in Mantova, LE NOZZE DI FIGARO (il Conte) in Milano, TOSCA (Scarpia), CARMEN (Escamillo) and NABUCCO (Nabucco) for the Trentino Opera Festival. Recently he was the protagonist Buonafede in Haydn's IL MONDO DELLA LUNA at the Teatro Bonci in Cesena. This performance will be published by Bongiovanni in DVD.
