Somewhere in space, a gleaming white vessel the size of a small baseball stadium spins slowly through the star-specked void. It is the Hall of Justice, headquarters of the mighty Justice League ... the Defenders Of The Universe. The Hall is a powerful residence, one which bears regular witness to a thunderous commingling of minds and might. Waste heat absorbed from water-cooler banter has alone been enough to power the ship since the League's inception. This, surely, is an organization singular to the Cosmos: Graced with timeless potency and founded on a code of honour unshaken by mortal trifles, the cavernous Hall floats ever forward in testament to the values its occupants uphold. It is a true Edifice Complex. But no coordination of superhuman faculty, not even one as cool and space-travelly as the Justice League, can operate without the occasional hiccup. The League's members, each uniquely beleaguered with their own otherworldly responsibilities, have fallen behind on their joint project of constructing the Engine of Combinatorial Truth. The Engine, a device resembling a giant hamster wheel, which operates on power generated by the footfalls of the League's superfolk, will materialize 1000000 bananas for every rotation it completes. A wormhole, held open by the wheel, will then be used to transport these bananas to a dimension occupied solely by monkeys typing randomly on typewriters.
