Chris played this beautiful Denver song solo on his Suzuki chromatic hartmonica SC-56 / 14 holes / 56 notes at a birthdayparty of his oldest brother "Dick" and his sister-in-law "Arnolda", the 6th of March. This wonderful song is recorded and written by John Denver in 1974. The melody is actually based on the theme from the Second Movement of Tchaikovky's Symphony nr 5. The song was a number one hit in the UK. "Annie's Song" was written an an ode to Denvers wife "Annie". Mr John Denver wrote this song in a skilift to the top of Bell Mountain in Aspen Colorado. The song has since become a wedding standard and an expression of love for many people, due to its grand imagery and the fact it could apply to anyone. Mayka, my beloved wife, arranged the backgroundmusic and she plays the melody on her Casio keyboard !! WE DEDICATE THIS SONG WITH ALL OUR HEARTS TO MY OLDEST BROTHER "DICK" AND OUR SISTER-IN-LAW "ARNOLDA" - because they celebrated their birthday with our family in a wonderful way, they are 80 and 75 year now !!!!! May God bless them all the time. This videoclip is edited by my beloved wife "Mayka" - and Mayka recorded my life performance with our Canon video-camera.
