31 years ago, a good bunch of Rolla, MO children (and workers at the 1st A/G church there), put together this slide show for the church. I had been perplexed about the disparate Gospel accounts of the resurrection and tried my hand at a harmony/conflation of all the accounts. Some connecting phrases are used here, but 99% of this is from the NASV New Testament. There are certainly some disputable things chronologically and some things, fact-wise (for instance, those said to have doubted Jesus' authentic appearance, were from among The Eleven, not from among the 500 as I state in the Story). Another thing I inserted was that Jesus' death was on Wednesday. At the time I did that, I had read about how "the Sabbath" and the "High Sabbath" could have been on separate days of the week, and thus have been able to account for Jesus having been dead for three days and three nights. So I had him die on Wednesday, on a day before a Thursday High Sabbath, or whatever. I was trying my best. Anyway, when I finished writing this, I proposed to the other workers that we let the kids act it out with us taking slide photos of them doing the various scenes. The church liked the Easter program and all went well. From time to time my daughter, Christy, and a few others, have mentioned being interested in seeing it again, so here it is (after much digitizing work). It is always jarring to me to watch the Show and at the end see photos of adults along-side the children. I guess it is breaking ...
