This is a demo of the alpha version of a program I'm creating for the PC3 called "PK3 Mugg". I've done similar programs in the past for the K2000. The PC3 greatly expands what you can do as it has vastly superior synthesis capabilities. The .pc3 file containing the program will be available on Sonikmatter.com and in the Mastering VAST forum when it's finished (should be available around March 22). It'll also be available on my blog -- pc3nerd.blogspot.com. The program itself consists of 15 layers (5 per "oscillator"). Two layers contain the waveform generators (the triangle wave is from a keymap, sawtooth and square waves are generated via DSP), one layer contains the filter, and the final two layers control the amplitude envelope. The control logic is implemented both directly (by assigning a knob or button to the Src1 parameters) an using funs. For instance, the "range" knob that switches the octave range of an oscillator uses a FUN to turn a continuously-variable knob into a knob with six steps (the specific FUN is "Quantize B to A"). Since the PC3 can have up to 16 zones active at one time in a setup, you can split/layer this program up to 16 times and, by switching presents on the BCR, have real-time control over each instance of the program in the setup. AFAIK you can't do this sort of highly-customized midi mapping with most other synths (the Alesis Micron being a possible exception), and those that do implement it don't allow you to tweak control logic to the same ...
