Nick's POV I was confident that we wouldn't be caught. I mean, even if he did look behind the sofa and see the door, he wouldn't be able to fit through the gap and get in. I guess that means he'd just shoot us from outside? Whatever, if my life is reduced to inside a cupboard then maybe dying wouldn't be so bad. I just don't want Joe to die because of me. My train of thought was interrupted by the crazy ass dude yelling "I'll find you two, I know you're in here, you faggots. I'll find you and when I do you better be ready to die." Faggots? Really? Fuck him. He left, slamming the door behind him which made the whole house shake. Joe's POV "I'm going to go out there and check on the house okay? Make sure he hasn't wrecked anything. I don't want my parents knowing that I'm hiding you." Nick nodded and I opened the door cautiously and slowly pushed the sofa open to reveal the living room in the same state I left it. At least the killer had manners enough not to cock up someone else's house. I checked the house out. After straightening some things and covering some dents in the floorboards with rugs, I headed to the kitchen to get us some food. After making us sandwiches and getting a huge bottle of water, I went to back to Nick. I gave him the food and water and went upstairs to get a duvet and pillows. There's no way I could of fit a mattress in there, so this will have to do. It's the most I could do. That's the worst thing. I wanted to do more for him. But I couldn't.
