There's a reason why some of us are real pilots, and some of us just fly on a flight simulator for fun in our spare time. I'm relegated to the latter category for your (and everyone else's) protection. This was a mishap landing at Innsbruk, Austria airport (LOWI) involving a Canadian Air small commuter jet. (What's a Canadian commuter jet doing in Austria? Don't ask... I think I had just downloaded the plane and was testing it out over there). -- Came in a little hot and high (about 300 knots at touchdown). -- Front landing gear is not technically supposed to be the first thing to touch the ground, but let's not get too picky. -- The big problem I had, was I thought this plane had reverse thrust, so when I went to gun the throttle, I actually was gunning it in the forward direction and picked up more speed, instead of slowing down. As the end of the runway loomed near in the distance, I had no choice but to lock up the wheel brakes and throw it in a sideways skid. I didn't actually expect it to stop on the runway, but it did.... with about maybe 100 feet to spare? So no I won't be commercial airline rated anytime soon, but my laptop gets a good workout.

A 787 landing at KSFO 28R, but when it ouches down the throttles jam at max until the last sec. We had to abort because you cant stop a 787 traveling at 362 knots in 53 meters of runway.
