I honestly thought installing tongue and groove pine was going to be a joke. Even though I have never installed it on a ceiling, was fairly confident that it would be easy. Now that I have done it once, it is a joke but, I will admit, my first day was definitely frustrating and I ended up installing 3 rows, wasn't happy with how it looked and ripped the whole row down. A few tips: - Its easier to install with two people, unfortunately, I didn't have that option. Getting a 12 foot board down nice and secure is a little challenging. I worked with 4 and 8 foot sections all pre-cut. These I could easily get to fit in place without and bows at the seams. - Use a nail gun. Some people say they are dangerous but, honestly nailing with a hammer is far more dangerous especially at heights. Anyone who manages to nail their hand with a nail gun should probably not have children. - Sometimes it is better not to nail in the joins. If your strapping isn't perfectly square, it can really help to have that wiggle room to get the boards to line up perfectly. - Normally not a big deal if a nail head is sticking up a bit when you nailed it in at 45 degrees, just give it a good wack and it will fir
