You can use all kinds of papers to weave, I used recycled papers in this video. You'd need a sheet of 8.5X11 inches,but it's up to you. Fold it in half lengthwise, make some cuts using scissors in various thickness or thinness strips, but don't cut it through - leave out an inch at the top . Cut out other colored papers in small, medium and large strips and then weave them one at a time. Start under or on top of the 8.5X11 sheet and weave it in and out like sewing until finish. Get another strip in different color and thickness, start on top of previous strip, weave and then glue them down. Continue weaving with other strips until finish. You can triple the layers if you like or vary from one to two to three layers down the line. It's up to you to decide which looks better.
