NEEDING A GRANT FOR £50500 TO ASSIST WOMEN PROJECT AND EVANGELISTIC PROJECT IN AKOSOMBO GHANA & MALAWI. My name is Rev. Dr. Mercy Wood; I am a co-Founder of Wood World Missions and also a president of women group called (PRECIOUS WOMEN GROUP) Wood World Missions is a Christian Non- profit, charity missions Ministry worldwide. We dont only preach the word but demonstrate it with practical support to the poor and needy. For the last 13yrs we have been assisting many needy people with our own funds, until 2000 when we officially registered with Charity Commission. Registration No: 108400. There are due to poverty, rape, and prostitution, a lot of single young mothers who have no hope. Rev. Janet Richmond who has a small church a round the area has been going through a lot because everyday the women comes to her home looking for food for their children and themselves. I personally visited the area concerned and found out there are no projects for women, both young and adults. She spoke to me that the women wants to learn and to become self alliance so if there can be a projects that can assist them such as Sewing, Crafts and Carpentry they are ready to learn, so that they can come out of poverty circle. I believe the projects will alleviate their suffering and struggling, empowered, and also reduce prostitution, which leads to HIV/ AIDS.
